Fluxedo was founded in early 2009 by Nottingham University graduate, Graham Milton. After attending many formal occasions, he observed 1000’s of ladies in a stunning array of colours and styles and the same number of men in uniformly dull black tie dress code. They look stunning, we look like……. well, stuffed penguins. It is part of the point to make the ladies look good, but surely we owe it to them and us to offer something a little beyond conformity right up to the end. Until now, we males have had no stylish opportunity to offer colour, excitement and surprise while remaining true to the formal codes. - Fluxedo will change all this. Gentlemen, stand up and stand out!
Fluxedo has the following visions:
-Brighten up the men’s Formal Dress market.
-Allow men to express themselves at Formal Events.
-Allow companies, teams and societies to stand out at Formal Events by showing others that they are innovative, creative and fun loving.
Penguins live in -50 degrees Celsius and face winds up to 100 mph for months on end. Their mating rituals are short and efficient, any procrastinating could result in yet another Arctic winter all alone and almost certain death. Female penguins are selfless loving creatures who choose their man by their ability to survive such harsh conditions and look after their young. She is not bothered that she can’t tell one male penguin from another. She knows no better and it has been that way for many penguin centuries.
We live a much more diverse life than penguins and it shows in every part of our daily lives. Apart from one ritual that us males still try and perform as a penguin despite our female counterparts having evolved......the Formal Black tie event. Us Gents all throw on the same penguin suits and march off to our formal events hoping our female counterparts won’t mind that we all look the same. Fluxedo can’t begin to describe how complex the female species make it! Fluxedo is here to give you the opportunity to swim in a gene pool fit for kings.
